Summer Institute 08

The LLIF Summer Institute will provide practical methods for developing orality with children through song games, story telling and co-lingual play activities.  
If you are ---
  •  an elementary classroom teacher
  •  a teacher in a multi-lingual classroom
  •  a music teacher
  •  an early learning educator
  •  a drama, or movement education specialist
  •  a teacher of children with special needs
  •  a researcher
  •  a person working with non-English speaking families in the community
  • a librarian
then the LLIF Summer Institute may be for you.
You will experience practical ways of enhancing orality among children through song games, sound-to-symbol study techniques, co-lingual song game play.
Documentation of attendance can be provided to teachers for purposes of professional development

Time: Mon-Fri. 8:45 AM-3:00 PM
Place: Southlands Elementary School

Cost: $400.00  (optional $75.00 for daily lunch provision)

Singing English Workshops for Educators

Workshops for educators in the Sound to Symbol Methodology  and the use of song games can be arranged on a per school or district basis.  Workshops are suitable for professional development.

Workshops are provided by Dr. Fleurette Sweeney and also by Bonnie Davison of Singing English Education.
